Wear of hydrogenated DLC in MoDTC-containing oils

نویسندگان

چکیده

This paper describes a study of the effect on MoDTC-promoted a-C:H DLC wear adding various surface-active additives used in engine lubricants, including ZDDP, an ashless EP additive, Ca detergents, dispersants, OFM and PAMA, to MoDTC solution. Tribofilms formed tracks steel were analysed using SLIM, TEM, STEM-EDX, Raman spectroscopy XPS. Relevant mechanisms by which these reduce impact have also been suggested. PAO+Mo can be reduced presence other three ways. Firstly, asperity contact between mitigated forming thick antiwear tribofilms. Secondly, increase ratio MoS2:MoO3, reducing amount wear-enhancing MoO3 tribofilm. Thirdly, tribofilm competitive adsorption additives. has practical implications for ways surfaces protected lubricant formulation.

A case-control study of colorectal adenomatous polyps and consumption of foods containing partially hydrogenated oils.

The trans fatty acids produced by partially hydrogenating vegetable oils may cause colorectal neoplasia by interfering with cell membrane function or eicosanoid synthesis. This possibility provides a rationale for looking at the relation between colorectal adenomatous polyps and consumption of foods containing partially hydrogenated vegetable oils (PHVOs). A total of 516 cases and 551 controls ...

Prevalence of Partially Hydrogenated Oils in US Packaged Foods, 2012

Although there is evidence that consumption of trans fat has declined in the United States, limited documentation exists on current levels of industrial trans fat in foods. We estimated the prevalence of partially hydrogenated oils in 4,340 top-selling US packaged foods. Nine percent of products in the sample contained partially hydrogenated oils; 84% of these products listed "0 grams" of trans...

Limiting trans Fats in Foods: Use of Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oils in Prepacked Foods in Slovenia

Consumption of industrially produced trans-fatty acids (TFAs) is a well-established health risk factor that correlates with the increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease. The recommended TFA intake is as low as possible, within the context of a nutritionally adequate diet. Different countries have introduced different measures to minimize the exposure of their population to TFAs. Prev...
